Peak – for 3 Word Wednesday
July 4, 2010
Here’s a poem I wrote for 3 Word Wednesday. The 3 words were: hassle, inject, wealth
Apex
Laying humid
beneath the hassle
of interaction
our curt conversation
injecting a question
into the schism
between us.
Where once laid
a wealth
too vast to quantify
now we lay
curled
amongst the
tawdry
sniping words

A Beautiful verse from the heart…loved it 🙂
Thanks – I try my best and it’s always useful to have a prompt!
this is the first time i’v heard bankrupt bein used in such context…love it..
Glad you liked it, I tried to think about what word to use to try and balance the wealth that had been previously, and the now impoverishness of the relationships. Bankrupt seemed a good choice.
This is fabulous! The imagery here is too good! The vacuum after a peak is probably way more stronger and deeper than the elation at the peak!
I loved this one..
Thanks, and keep up the good work…
Thanks for your comment, and hope you keep coming back to take a look 🙂
awesome- the only word that can explain your poem.
nothing cuts deeper than sudden poverty.
And nothing cuts even deeper than emotional poverty I think…
smart entry…
sadly beautiful.
your poem is represented now as promised,
Happy Wednesday!
😉
