The minds fall

June 19, 2012

Here’s my contribution to this week’s Magpie Tales, inspired by the wonderful picture – Puddle, 1952, M. C. Escher (featured in the post to the right).

The minds fall

The tracks of times

passed,

formed by my bumbling

feet, seen by my searching

eye, felt by my wandering

heart, push the dirt

and squeeze the present

into puddles:

through the branches

I recall

the whispers, formed in shade

shared in twilight

echoed now

across the ensnared sky.
